Introducing Our Cornwall Horse Family

Horses have a way of capturing our hearts, and mine are no exception. Each of my three horses has their own unique personality, and they’re as different from one another as can be. From the spirited Shetland to the reliable Cob, let me introduce you to my equine companions.

Jasmine Our Shetland: Small but Mighty

First up is my Shetland pony, the smallest member of the herd but certainly not the least in personality. She’s a spirited little girl who lives up to the Shetland reputation for being a bundle of energy, charm, and mischief.

Shetlands are known for their intelligence, and she proves it every day, whether it’s figuring out how to undo a gate latch or sneak an extra treat. Despite her small size, Jasmine has a sturdy build and a big heart, making her the perfect companion for our Cornwall horse family.

Taffy our Cob: Strength and Grace

Taffy our Welsh Section D Cob, a true embodiment of strength and grace. He is a handsome boy with a muscular build and a calm, dependable nature, making him the backbone of our Cornwall horse family. At 29 he shows no signs of slowing down.

Known for their versatility, Welsh Cobs can do everything from pulling carriages to excelling in dressage. My Cob Taffy is the gentle giant of the herd, always ready to lend a steady presence, whether it’s during a leisurely ride or a more challenging hack in the beautiful countryside of Cornwall.

Polly Our Pony: A Perfect Balance

Last but certainly not least is my moorland pony, who brings balance to the group with a temperament that’s as steady as it is spirited. This pony is particularly special because she belongs to my daughter. Watching the two of them grow together has been a joy—the bond they share is truly heartwarming.

Ponies versatile and hardworking. Ours is no exception, excelling in everything from trail rides to light jumping. This pony’s kind eyes and gentle demeanor make her a favorite among visitors, but don’t be fooled—she has a playful streak that shines through when she’s in the paddock with her friends.

A Family of Their Own

Though each horse has their own unique qualities, together they form a close-knit Cornwall horse family. They graze, play, and nap together, with their individual strengths and quirks complement each other perfectly, making every day an adventure.

Whether it’s the clever antics of the Shetland, the pony’s playful charm, or the Cob’s calming presence, my horses bring joy and meaning to my life. They’re not just animals; they’re companions, teachers, and friends. I hope you’ve enjoyed hearing about them as much as I’ve enjoyed sharing their stories.

If you would like to meet them or even bring you own horse on holiday to join them for a trip away you can find out more here.
